kaliloo
if your iso file is on cd or dvd ,use physical drive "not iso image file from your dvd image"
straycat19
That rescue disk is intended to be booted from not run from inside Windows. If it was a regular dvd it would run from inside Windows in Virtualbox, just as shown below in a Windows 7 VM. You can run the rescue disk in a VM. Below is an ISO file for Zorin OS that is booted using VirtualBox. But there is no way I know of to run a linux based ISO boot disk from inside any version of Windows unless you are running it inside its own VM. If it won't run in your normal Windows, it won't run in a Windows VM.
Togijak
@straycat19 You misunderstood me, sure I cant run a rescue disk from inside Win. I only want with that picture on left site the setting and on the right site that I can access a DVD. If I shutdown and restart the VM it should start the rescue disk like your normal computer would do. That rescue disk was created by @hawk007 and is working from USB stick on the normal computer = the disk is OK and can't be the problem. You are also using Virtual Box like @MrZeb which gives me the impression that it's up to VMware @kaliloo it is not on a DVD, it is a image
Togijak
@straycat19 As you can see now it must be a VMware problem. I installed a VirtualBox with Win 7 x64 (lol @MrZeb ) and there I am able to boot the rescue ISO I hope I find a VMware user how can help me to get any bootable ISO booting in VMware

Hi, I'm not sure about this image! On the VM you choose to mount the d:\ISO\rescue.iso but on the second image it seems the ISO is mounted on the D: drive! If you mount the rescue.iso to some drive letter then you have to select the option physical drive and select the proper drive and not Use image file option. Also Quote I was unable to boot from a ISO inside VM with running Win7 x64 and after that hint from I downloaded a Win 8.1 x64 and crated a new VM but I have still the same problems, that the ISO is ignored with this settings You don't need to install any Windows 8.1 x64, its only a machine type selection, on Virtualbox by changing the OS option the program adjust the emulation settings to make sure that OS or a WinPE based on the same OS will work. Togijak
@MrZeb I only selected the highlighted box to show that the VM has connection to the image. If this point is selected the ISO image get's a virtual drive letter -that's all. If I do not make a mistake, the settings and the procedure in VMware and VirtualBox are identical and that's the reason why I was saying from the beginning, that is must be a special VMware problem.
