DJPrice
I installed Cacheman 7 after uninstalling CachemanXP & after entering the serial, the window in the screenshot appears. I remember with the old version, when it said something about the serial not being valid, you could delete a registry entery & then you would be able to enter the serial again. I uninstalled Cacheman 7, then reg cleaned etc & tried again, but the serial is still showing up when I reinstall it. Just wondering if someone could point in the direction of the registry details or whatever to fix the problem?
HX1
Don't uninstall it.. shred all parts in all areas of your system.. Next use Windows Install Cleanup to remove any and all installer related.. next do an aggressive scan and clean of your registry.. This way most entries will be deleted that are relative to an install..Then try to re-install the program and use it or whatever..If that doesn't work you may have to search through.. your WINDOWS folders, and your Registry manually and delete any and all keys and entries relative to the company who makes the software, and/or are licensing providers..OR. you could buy a valid Key...keeping it installed and deleting all of the files left on your system should do it though.. and it will set off more flags.. hopefully ones that will remove invalid entries, not keys set for uninstalled programs..AVG had some serious issues with this when trying some new techniques which was invalidating.. at random users who had valid and trial versions of the program..I think it was in version 7.. I was just happy .. I was using ESET then too..LOL
jalaffa
There has been some silent updates of the installer for Cacheman 7. The original release came with a working serial. Soon after they updated the installer (to blacklist the key). Then came a working keygen. Rather soon after they did another silent update (so that the keygen stopped working)... jalaffa
Thanks jalaffa, I wonder if anyone has the version that works fine with the keygen.I had the Outertech.Cacheman.v7.0-DOA release tested working ok in my Windows XP mode VM in Windows 7. It is the one with the serial included.Site: http://rapidshare.comSharecode: /files/284479153/doa-0243.rarThere could be a problem if you had the serial previously blacklisted. You might have to run Trial-Reset (program is listed, but do turn off your real time AV protection before attempting to download it!) to clean your registry of it first. DJPrice
Well I got hold of Trial-Reset & ran it, then tried Cacheman 7 again, but still comes up with the same message
manpe
I have the same problem. I once used an invalid serial and now I can't activate it with any other key... reinstalling doesn't help. I tried it many times, I deleted Cacheman folder in regedit and ran CCleaner. Nothing. This time I downloaded the nsane version but it doesn't help. What must I do to be able to insert a new key? HX1
Look for anything in your system files.. in WINDOWS and System32 anything related t the main company, production company, or program.. then you need to manually go through your registry.. using F3.. searching for the previously mentioned entries may help.. but there is way just have to find it...always.. one or two areas that are missed.. Administrator DKT27 Posted October 3, 2009 Administrator Share Posted October 3, 2009 I think you should check the HKEY_USERS > Software > (Software Name) in registry. I don't think it contains serial and it would be same in Windows 7. But try it.You may also try "Reveal Serials & Keys Of Your Softwares By ChattChitto". That maybe found on TPB. ;)
