Administrator DKT27 Posted September 23, 2009 Administrator Share Posted September 23, 2009 Thanx for the update. :)So for updating I will have to unfix box, mara- fix, update ESET, re-fix it?
shought
Yes, you're right.I myself have just done so(UnFix ESET, install the new version, Fix it again) and I found out that the Remove trial watermarks function doesn't work 100%(no crashes or anything) but it doesn't remove the 'Upgrade to full version' part. I'll send a PM to mara- :)Other than that I believe it to be working just fine.

DaBrain
How come my ESET won't update itself? Is it not on their servers yet?
jalaffa
It's definitely on their servers.
shought
Why ESET doesn't update automatically? It's because the ESET doesn't update from version number to a higher version number automatically, only from signature database to a later signature database and from module to a later module. The Paid versions doesn't, the 'Free' version doesn't.It's always been like this.

I have to enable it manually.2) Invalid username or password problem while updating. Even when I put eset in both. Running XP Pro SP2. Full Admin rights. Please help me fast. :(
shought
Export your settings, completely uninstall ESET, reboot, clean your registry and files, install ESET, disable Self-defense, reboot, Fix ESET, pick automatic reboot. That should fix any problems :)
