i want to find a software that can automatically detect latest version of needed software :think:

@coua There are many s/w updaters/monitors.... like SUMo/Glarysoft/Avira/AppFalcon..... most are good but some are bad and some are spy/snoopers. You have more choices. You've to choose according to your needs.

 

If you are gonna use for contribution here.... then these doesn't help. You need link/site monitors like Website-Watcher/.....

@coua These sites suggested by @jbleck like softpedia/..... still use tools like Website-Watcher/..... or they depend on update requests. The best is to rely on link/site monitors like Website-Watcher/.....

i think he means "needed" and not "installed" software... something like a "softpedia.com" (or a latest version monitor website) client with notifications from checked apps.

I used it few years ago to automatically updates my software installers. But I lost my configs and never use it again since then.

It's a bit tricky to set up but it's indeed a very powerful tool.

For Linux, there is software catalog that tells you all the latest version of softwares.
