How to force remember password in Firefox?

Hello! I just switched from Chrome to Firefox and it's great but on some sites it doesn't offer to save password. Is there a way to "force" it?

I already checked docs and this is my case

"Websites prohibit password saving

Some websites do not allow for passwords to be saved for security reasons. If you have followed the steps above, but are still not prompted to save a password when logging in to a certain website, that site may have disabled password saving. "

Many thanks in advance!

Why don't you just use standalone password manager or extension/addon instead of firefox's built in? They have more features and easier to manage.

I personally use KeepAss (don't mind me, i like to spell it that way ). But you can choose anything you like and many of them are free.

Some things you could check. The reason why it's needed to control is in it, that  Firefox always save passwords and username in all waterblocks automatically when it's in the settings.
1. (about: preferences # privacy)
2. if is enabled, check, is there already something stored (Saved Logins)
3. maybe some of sites is disabled (Exeptions)
4. If there is everything OK, may be that Firefox User profile or only this file is damaged (logins.json) - You can simply delete it, if needed, but then You'll delete also all it's content, ie logins.
5. if deleteting this file also don't help, try to make at all new userprofile folder.
6. You can also import logins from other web browsers or from backups etc, everything works.
How to find User Profile folder?
By default it is
%LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{encrypted folder name 8 numbers and letters}.default\

If You have changed user profile location, You must know it by Yourself.

This question is asked thousands times, usually is wrong settings (Remember logins and passwords for websites - is not checked) or damaged user profile.

Why would I want to rely on yet another tool?

Everything is fine here. It's just that some websites send this "don't save password" thing, and I want to ignore it. Chrome saves passwords everywhere, Firefox in old times had addon that changed "autocomplete" to "on" on all websites automatically, but the new one seems to secured in this way.

I've mentioned some of the advantages. And I'm not forcing you to use any of those software.

I'm simply just providing a feasible option. I don't like browser's built-in password manager (be it from chrome or firefox) because for me it's a pain to manage, lack of features, can't sync across different browsers and sometimes problematic.

Sorry, if my previous comment isn't helpful. Hope you can find solution to your problem.

To resume, Firefox is a web browser and not a password manager.

Another reason because there is one potential lack of security or features (another backup, generator strong password, etc) ?
