How to install and activate Malwarebytes Premium (Updateable & Never Expires)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Add the following text/line to your host file:
   127.0.0.1 keystone.mwbsys.com

You can also block Domain or IPs, but Malwarebytes will change IPs periodically.
ATM, block the following IPs with any firewall program is working fine

   1KvjvSF.jpg

2. Download Malwarebytes Premium license file then copy-paste to directory:
   %ProgramData%\MB2Migration\Configuration\

3. Download and install Malwarebytes for Windows (Malwarebytes Premium)
(Link below will always give you latest installer of Malwarebytes)
   Malwarebytes for Windows

That's all.

Download Malwarebytes Premium License:
Site: http://www.mediafire.com
Sharecode[?]: /file/laddavnbt6k49r8/License.rar

Note:
Anybody can claim this is his/her work....I don't give a damn  :lmao:

Move the hostfile to Desktop , edit and then move it back to same directory.

or

Run Notepad as admin then try to edit & Save.

@bergy1964 Here is how to do it without issues:

Note:

Check if AV/Security s/w blocking settings from changes. If so, unblock the changes in AV/Security settings.

FYI: The best way to edit host file is from safe mode.

Now, follow the below steps:

  1. Open a notepad as admin(right-click and choose run as admin) from Startmenu. (Run as admin only applies if u r editing in normal mode.)
  2. From the menu tab File->Open.
  3. Navigate to "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" folder and choose the hosts file (mostly the first file).
  4. Now, make the necessary changes and save it.
  5. If you can't save and it is asking to save as a new file, then u should use safe mode.
  6. [Optional - Applies if u use safe mode to make changes]Once you completed the process, switch to normal mode.
  7. Open your AV/Security and enable the block changes for hosts file.

NJoy!!! :D

Alternatively, can also use host editing tools to make changes. However, it isn't necessary if you didn't have it installed.

The simplest and still valid way is:

  1. download installer - https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3/
  2. install
  3. run and insert genuine key and it is absolutely enough

Thanks guys.

How do I proceed to %ProgramData%\MB2Migration\Configuration\

I can't find this folder? Shall I install the Malwarebytes first ? or this has to be pre done?

Thanks guys.

You have to create that directory by yourself

Nope! you must follow the instruction exactly in order

Use 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1 to avoid the system trying to connect to localhost and wait for a timeout.

@tushargtaYou can just block those locations for scanning.

PS:
MB should have an option to prevent scanning of hosts. If not add to ignore list/whitelist.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was usually a real pain to have and keep Malwarebytes activated so I didn't have much faith in this, but it seems to work so I really appreciate your contrbution.
