Amazons got a new service for prime members. You can let them in your house to put your packages in when your not home. Would you do it?

Anyone who enters my house when I am not home is encountering a deadly surprise, so come right in Amazon, just one less employee they will have to pay.

This service is called Amazon Key, is for prime members only and requires a special smart look and a webcam to allow to delivery driver into your home via a one-time entry code. Considering Christmas is right around the corner and it's the prime time (no pun intended) for thieves to steal packages, many will sign up for this.

If a package was that important to me, I would order it on the weekend and pay for the one-day shipping.

Booby traps are illegal, you know. Vicious dogs or housewives are acceptable.

Seriously tho, If I ordered that much from Amazon I would rig something up to the backyard shed. He could make off with the old mower. It would be a nice excuse to have home insurance pay for a new one :P

Speaking of insurance, would one be covered under such a circumstance?

I would as I trust Amazon more than any other retailer.

Haven’t you learned anything from watching the X – files?

“Trust No One”

The question should start ''have''?

So yes to your question as I don't and have never seen the X-files.

Amazon really steps up their game at every second, huh? It's probably US exclusive, but thinking hypothetically, I would be really uncomfortable knowing that a stranger is inside my house. Since it's optional, I can only say that to each their own, huh.

I do not think I will do it since there’re other ways to delivered the package. You can always make a claim if do not received it.

For expensive merchandize you are always required to sign for it as prove of delivery.

no way bro, I don't trust them more than what I  trust Micro$oft or Googag, but I had to let them in to get some things like free products or operating system.

Amazon knows when I get up, it knows when I go to bed, it knows what I love to eat, what movies I hate, what music I'm singing along to (wrong) or if my partner is cheating or not. At some point it has to end: My apartment is taboo! So: Hell no! (No further than the doorstep.) ;)
