If you are user/new user of Miranda you should try this site http://gecko.me/?miranda ;) You can configure miranda how you like and download package with skins, plugins, emoticons you like. ;) Highly recommend my friends. :) I remember that configurtion of Miranda is a little bit pain in ass... :(

btw. I'm using my close friend messenger from Poland - WTW. If someone is from my country should try this. Gadu-Gadu totally sucks (800x600 ad banner in messenger WTF?!) and it has monopoly in PL. :/ WTW = GG, Tlen and XMPP, no ads, antispim filter, meta contacts, it's light as hell, and much more features (like plugins, skins, etc.). ;) DL link is in my signature.

Wow! Thanks for the site silencer! This saves me work in trying to package my own miranda for friends and family (which I never actually got to =p). I wonder if these have pre-configured options that are different from default though. Like I remember TabsRMM had shift-enter as the default for sending, which is unnatural to just about everyone living in my area.

I actually use 'Double Enter' so I can send multiple lines helpful for different types of conversations especially when helping someone and using a step by step method..and by Default..It seems it should be just 'Enter'..but if you look in the options for it ( Message Sessions>General) .. I believe it is checked.. and for some reason has to be checked to use the option..I think what it comes down to is what the end user chooses to do and the fact that some options just have to be configured.. Besides that when everyone starts to rely on you for the simple settings and adjustments and they start saying 'Well, I don't know.. You do it, your the one that put it in there.. ' . and the whining starts ..Then you are actually failing them by allowing them to become dependent on someone else. Endpoint they never learn a thing, and all you do by willing to help.. is create a handicap for them, and a huge IT problem for yourself..

With MirandaIM if a person is afraid of the settings.. Put them in the default program for each protocol and let them come to it on their own when they are ready. Its too functional, malleable, and diverse for timid people, or people unwilling to dive in there.. I see this as a good thing, some had rather just sit down and use a computer and let someone else run it.. Just like some people will do nothing more than drive a car and not bother to check the oil, wash it, clean it, perform maintenance or even put the gas in..Personally I see myself..and others wasted on things of this nature.. If you can't teach and the person is unwilling to learn.. or refuses.. Drop it like a hot rock and move on to something you can do some good with..
