Pete 12
No, if the " medicins " are installed , before you have a bought key , it will not make it easier . Only if you succeed in severe uninstalling of the "crap " , you can make a perfect new installation of ESET .............and you wont run in these -problems next time................. This is like saying tomorrow will rain. I used to know how to find everything very quickly when someone messed up with Mara or Purefix but that was quite some time ago... If I had to solve this mess again now it would take me hours and hours I guess

I'm about done with this crap, I may just roll it back a couple days and stick with v4 which updates several times daily - I don't want to mess up my permissions and end up doing a re-install as there was no inst' Disc . brain_death
Uninstall ESS and remove all traces you can find, of any fixes too. Open a CMD prompt as an administrator and run the ESET .msi from there. If that doesn't work, try to find the installer as an .exe instead, which I am pretty sure is available from ESET themselves. If that still doesn't work, run the .exe in Safe Mode. You can tweak your registry beforehand, to allow it to install this way. But my money would be on the .msi/.exe from an administrative CMD, in Safe Mode if you have to...
