The headline has two misleading mistakes - it's not just for one computer, but for anyone who wants it.

It is also not a 1 year license, but is a pre-activated version which running as a pro version until the next update is installed.

It is Wise Care 365 version 4.72.455 ie current version, contains no key, it means - no updates.

One more day...

Topics copied headline from BitDuJour/WiseCare is misleading because of their marketing strategies. After them customer must understand from "Wise Care 365 Pro - Paid Upgrades v4.72 ($0)" that free promotion applies only version 4.72 and customer must pay from upgrade.

It was obvious to me but thanks to Kalju for discussion, clarification and links. Keep on! :P

"Portable" version installs two dlls in the Windows system folder WiseHDInfo32.dll and WiseRegNotify.sys, adds a scheduler entry and starts a service called BootTime.exe that runs as admin. I couldn't delete it or even disable it as user ...

Looked promissing, but that is unacceptable for an app that has access to all your personal data. And there is no way to "turn off" these "features".
:(

Virustotal came up negative for all three files, but people sometimes allow auto-updating ....

Sorry I posted this topic. I felt I had something to say to somebody, and then I did it. Okay, I've felled to this same promotion, maybe it was 4.61 then. It was nothing but one week fancy. Now 15 years marriage with Ccleaner is also over. I use Privazer for cleaning before drawing images but I've no image of my lost Seven (this is right, I don't mean Steven).

This is off-topic, but how to backup Seven installed in logical partition? I've Aomei Backupper and Partition Assistant installed. If some ken:blink:Guru sees this.
