myidisbb
the folders are empty expect for the nfo file. the folder is copied 2 times (3 folders) or if not then the NFO inside is copied 2 (3 NFO files) times. (missing zip/ace/rar files for rip games)i believe i was moving folders around to get the same year and or month date stamp in the same area. all folders seem to have the same last day modified. but some with that same day/time frame are not effected.could it been a crash then that i didnt notice or realized? myidisbb
Yeh, BB. Type it up again and spend some reading it over and re-drafting. Makes no sense.i try too not over type stuff. i tend to do that when helping or giving thoughts of what a person problem could be etc.okay lets try this:background information with rip games.in rip games you have zips files with one ace or rar files in each zip with multi zips for each rip game and its addons (music, video, intro, outro, etc) with a file_id.diz in each too (require for proper rules or it gets Nuked). there is also a NFO file for each rip and for each addon for that rip.back on 2005-07-30 (the date stamp of the folders that are messing the zips files) the zips are missing in them expect for the NFO file. the folder name was also either copy itself 2 more times with 1 NFO in each folder or the folder had 2 copies of the NFO inside it. time around 9:27 named asdf(3) around 10:20 names asdf(2) and around 10:37 asdf. (a copied folder or name should have a newer time and not an older time) some had the NFO copies all with the same time frame.im the kind of guy that likes all of one date time stamp folders in one area. (ei all 1999 rip games under that folder name)i know i was moving a lot of stuff around around that time frame. (i use to use agent for my newsgroup reader. switch to newsleecher because it make folder names so i dont have to police and clean it up. plus no freaken 4 gb data files unlike in agent)im guessing i had a crash or something that i didnt notice nor realize that had happen. too busy with my new toy, newsleecher and not enough time in the day etc. i always double check the folders to see if the stuff there etc. i dont know if it happen then or when shutting down or rebooting. biggest hit it looks like i took was 2005-01-00 through 2005-05-00. im guessing about 30 BGs. hopely Paine or one of the other last left over rip collectors will up the 2005 later.i just never seen something like this happen and was wondering if anyone else seen, heard of that happening? Administrator Lite Posted February 21, 2006 Administrator Share Posted February 21, 2006 So let me get this straight... your missing some (large) files on your hard drive?
myidisbb
So let me get this straight... your missing some (large) files on your hard drive?they are not large files. largest under rip game rules allowed is a 10 mg zip file. so you in up with 100-150 zips per main game rip and then the addons. so its alot of files that are missing. i was wondering if anyone ever how something like that happen and was it most likely a crash or something?
