sscsr1
I have a stand alone version of Minecraft 1.5. I was hoping there might be something available that is a little closer to the current version that will run as a stand alone on a computer my grandkids play on. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

VileTouch
no need for a torrent. you can download latest MC installer directly from mojang https://launcher.mojang.com/download/MinecraftInstaller.msi though, you do need a valid login to use. i'm assuming your kids have that

They seem to play it on the tablets quite a bit so it may be safe to assume that they have a login. That would certainly be the easiest way.
