lurch234
It all depends on the available outputs your PC has as well as the inputs on your TV. HDMI is the best and simplest way to do it. I would invite you to go to this website which covers just about everything. The above video only talks about HDMI connections. http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Your-TV-as-a-Second-Monitor-for-Your-Computer

lurch234
Do you also have a monitor plugged in? If so then you might have to tell your PC what display it has to use. Probably through your video card settings. On WIN7 you can also right-click the desktop and choose "screen resolution" in the tab. You should have some option on how to use your displays. Just trying to cover all the bases. This installation should have been pretty straight forward. Just to be sure, the cable from TV to the graphic card are attached good way? Disconnect all and reconnect. it is not connected to video card. it is connected to mobo. When connected to video card, source of hdmi2 is not listed as an option, only when connected to mobo.
