Togijak
Every few months there is an Acrobat update that I don't want to be installed, but there is a autoupdate function that I can't stop. The newer versions of Acrobat have a reduced preflight function and that was the reason to install Adobe Acrobat DC 2015.010.20056. Yesterday Acrobat update himself to 2015.023.20070 and the old preflight options are still present, but newer versions like Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20093 don't have the option to embed fonts etc. Adobe Acrobat Update Service (armsvc.exe) is blocked in firewall but it looks like that dose not help. Any hint how I can stop the autoupdate function?

Recruit
Use this firewall : you will get a pop-up from each app which is trying to connect to the net. For all apps. from Adobe you can choose " Disable All " or " LANOnly " Here there is a proper medicine made by my friend @RadiXX11: please do not post it here, or in other public forums without his agreement ! rerigam
Look at "scheduled task" and, if you find a task called "Adobe Acrobat Update Task", disable it.

Togijak
@rerigam You make my day - until I found that preflight problem there was nothing against autoupdate and no reason to search for a function like that on 6 hours ago, Recruit said: from Adobe you can choose " Disable All " or " LANOnly " Which is like preventing baby's by amputation of the penis | a important function of Acrobat is to build PDF's from WebSites etc.

Just for the pdf printer you don't need Acrobat
Pete 12
Tested Acrobat and compared with Foxit its abnormal bloated , 1,2GB for Adobe and 315MB for Foxit Phantom 7 ( latest version). So, thats a big difference ! The PDF-function in IE11 with Adobe seems to work much better then Foxit , but if Foxit does not open your PDF in IE11 you can always restart IE11 , then it does open ...... Still using Foxit Phantom , coz I think its less bloated and good enough for my needs................. !
12stones
I solved this problem otherwise with ccleanner or system explorer you simply disable the auto update services fom adobe in the autorun logon and in the scheduling tasks after you have placed the last update manually
