I recently installed Opera with VPN. When searching for information it took a long time.

Does anyone tried it and share this result, please.

You will notice a difference in speed when comparing the browser with the VPN on as opposed to with the VPN off. But, most users will find that the slight dip in speed isn’t a major pitfall, especially if you have a fast internet connection. If your connection provides download speeds of 50Mbps or greater, you’ll hardly notice any difference at all.

OrbingStorm

This Opera "VPN" is just a preconfigured HTTP/S proxy protecting just the traffic between Opera and the proxy.logo.jpg

have used it since the start but as it continues to roll out new vrs. , the vpn seems to be getting sluggish and hence the browsers performance !

I also used Opera VPN in my Ipad and it works fine.

Also, I did not notice speed difference while browsing; but that is only for my Ipad. In my Windows 7 64 bits is so slow that the only solution for me is turn off Opera VPN for my PC.

PS my ISP download speed is only 1Mbps max

“Free VPN” is now an integrated feature of Opera's stable desktop browsers. Despite its nomenclature, however, this feature is really a proxy service rather than a true VPN. A true VPN encrypts your entire internet connection, while Opera's “Free VPN” only encrypts the data from your browser. Using this “VPN” does not protect your BitTorrent downloads or other internet activity outside the Opera browser.

So... Remember that VPN != Proxy :coolwink:

I like it very much. So much in fact that I have made Opera my default browser. I notice very little speed difference with the VPN enabled. Regards

Then this is the reason that it works so good with my iPad.
