If you have an old computer that is laying around being useless you could install linux on it and make it a print server for both your computers.  You still have to map to it but if your concern is stopping others from possibly printing to it then that is a secure solution.  I am using a couple old HP computers that were referred to as 'pizza boxes' from the mid 90s because they are only slightly taller than a pizza box and about the same size as a large pizza box.  They only have 75Mhz Pentium processors and are running Slackware command line.  I set these up in 1999 and am still using them.  The nice thing about them is I can print from any device connected to my network, wired or wirelessly, or even remotely when I set them up that way when I am out of town.  My network doesn't broadcast an SSID, requires a WPA2 login to access it, and the print server requires a login to print.  Wired device access is controlled by the router using MAC address authentication.  Very secure.
