what kind of management do u want.The XP OS manages and opens most of the formats itself,for others like some compressions specialized software would be used.K.lite would play almost all audio/video extensions.

Is this what you want? Explorer ----> Tools -----> Folder Options -----> Files Types Tab.

I've solved my problem with that last thing. It was because NERO 9 takes control of every playable file when you install it.
