Antivirus For Mac???

G'day.

I'm not a Mac user, but my grand daughter bought a new Mac Book, and has asked if I could find a good antivirus for the machine. Can anyone help me with some ideas? I read about free Avast, AVG and others, but I'm not too keen on those.

Thanks for any help

John

Free Avast, if you wasnt to pay youre paying just to feel better or for the sake of it these days, because the only difference between the paid and free is that the paid has "premium" features like identity protection...which most people think works automatically...but it doesnt and requires you to set up/train, and most people who pay for these "premium" features never read the fricking manual and never use it properly, and therefore theyre not using any of the premium features theyve paid for

Waste of money

Ive worked in IT for 30+ years, its been at least 1 deacde and a half since i quit paying for "premium" AV, because the featured i used to pay for are now common in free AV

Have i had a virus/trojan etc in 15 years...no

Used Avast Free all that time...

Thanks guys. Would anyone know if there is a Mac version of Eset. I have used Eset / Nod 32 for about 20 years on my PCs.
