how do i make a multi-boot rescue/reformat USB thumb drive?

Could anyone provide any help on creating such an awesome addition to a PC repairmans toolkit?

I'm going to use a 16gb Corsair FlashVoyager for the purpose.

... with a simple menu at the start, to select which of the above to launch. So far I've gathered that GRUB4DOS is used for this?
