Do not understand exactly what you're talking about, but it really is a strange suggestion. Apparently artisans faulty work, always is better use original installer.

NB: Flash always require you close the target browser (be it the original installer or not)...

You can update Flash from Chrome externallyvia install_flash_player_ppapi.exe

1 . Chrome 58.0.3029.110_chrome_installer_x86.exe

2. Ran Chrome program

3. Then ran  install_flash_player_ppapi.exe while chrome was active

and lo and behold this is what i get ...

After the update

Chrome://version/ shows

Google Chrome 58.0.3029.110 (Official Build) (32-bit)
Revision 691bdb490962d4e6ae7f25c6ab1fdd0faaf19cd0-refs/branch-heads/3029@{#830}
OS Windows
JavaScript V8 5.8.283.38
Flash 25.0.0.171 C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\pepflashplayer32_25_0_0_171.dll
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Have you ever heard about how Chrome works, and how it uses the flash?
And most of all, how plugin at all work?

How Chrome works and how the flash installer works are two separate things.

You're a genius, made a great discovery. They really work completely separate.
Even the installers are different.
You seem to be an omniscient.

What I mean is that you don't have a clue how to separate these two in the given context. Just because Chrome can load plugins on-the-fly, without having to close itself, does not mean the Flash installer has to play ball. If adobe programmed it to perform installation with apps closed, that's how it's done. So teodz1984 reply is on the money. Also stop crying like a baby, it's pathetic.

PS: omniscient? Well... somebody has to, we can't just have little kaljus running around not solving things 'cause they don't get it.

2. Ran Chrome program

3. Then ran  install_flash_player_ppapi.exe while chrome was active

4. This is the error you got.

KAIJU

Before you make a snide comment, understand what the user did and replicate..

Don 't make assumptions...  (as qouted in Under Siege 2 "Assumption is the mother of all f.***Ups")

You would make a bad tech support guy with that attitude...

Just because flash is supposed to be a component of Chrome.. Doesn't mean Flash update is exclusively updated internally. Yes,  you can update FLASH with an external installer supplied by ADOBE,   install_flash_player_ppapi.exe which updates flash for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.

It is a solution used if you have a non current version and still wish to be updated with the latest flash components.

External installers close the target application to prevent files locked by active processe being replaced..

(Try deleting an EXE oR DLL of an APP while it is ACTIVE.. ) hence the error popup.

Solution is simply CLOSING the APP or making sure the app is not active while running the installer..

Problem solved
