CPU Voltage is a bit too high and Temp Core displays wrongly VID-NB (still a bug), but even more way too high (standard would be 1.1375V)!

So better check with CPU-Z and maybe you should check the BIOS version.

If it's running stable... It's pretty fine!!!

In any case, please share mobo brand / model / BIOS...

What are you using to overclock?! Mobo BIOS or an app?!

Hopefully only BIOS settings, because AMD OverDrive sets wrong voltages for FX 83xx. Was never upgraded for these CPUs...

And CPU voltage is very useful for overclocking, but usually never needed for CPU-NB.

Win10 is (sorry) only trash for such...

We still not see the motherboard and BIOS version.

CPU-Z for the clock & voltage and also motherboard & version.

Example:

I've never had erroneous information about motherboard and BIOS provided by CPU-Z... B)

Yes, for such is CPU-Z the best! But only the main CPU voltage, not CPU-NB which displays CoreTemp bugly. :coolwink:

And too high CPU-NB can fry the chipset quite fast...

Here as example you can see the standard CPU-NB (1.1375V):

Ok... The normal CPU Voltage is ok (overclocked). If you have ever any weird crash then rise the CPU voltage to 1.25V. Only the CPU-NB voltage to chipset (from CoreTemp) is already way too high.

In CoreTemp I also saw that most probably Turbo-Clocks are enabled which is not good, because when overclocked then turbos are actually downclocking and not every BIOS can set all 3 clocks (most only base clock). So the Turbos are quite useless anyway and better disable them.

And also send the tab of Mainboard, please!

The first core is downclocked

btw those who saying voltage is too high, have no idea about AMD Chipsets. Voltage is extremely great, AMD have different pipe design, that more Voltage use less wattage because of their pipes.

AMD CPU can work even with 1.6V

Exactly... And only one core can have the highest Turbo. :coolwink:

Hello again, hope one is keeping up with this saga.

Here is some more information: https://valid.x86.fr/72rfq0

Only problems I have suffered, is a frozen screen saver twice, probably caused by RollBackRX Pro, happened before.

Couple of times didn't come out of sleep had to cold boot.

I appreciate every ones responses

The weird part is that the motherboard uses the ChipSet AMD 780G (from 2009) and is only AM3 (but not AM3+).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_700_chipset_series

So sadly it's not fully supported for CPU FX Vishera and needs usually minimum AMD 970. Hmmm...

Thanks for complete info...

Not returning from sleep seems OS problem to me, not hardware...

If these are the only issues you've faced I'd consider your system as stable... I speak hardware side...

Chipset does support FX CPUs via BIOS implementation...

But it has its lacks, I agree...

I found a bit more here:

https://community.amd.com/thread/211453

I can sadly only agree: "not appropriate for powerful FX CPU"

Well the system decided to die last Wednesday, will be getting replacements tomorrow.

So hopefully problem will be sorted.

Thata why I originally posted as there was something bothering me.

Changing the m.o.b.o. to a Gigabyte.

I realised there was problems as even from a night of sleep processor temperatures was around 47 degrees Celsius.

Another point was the 120 c.m. front fan sounded clunky.

On cold boot I got past the first screen however all I got was a grey screen.

So many clues evolved telling me I got sold poor electronics.

I'm a Gigabyte mobo user and I commercialize mounted computers only having them as a base.

Which model did you buy?!

Well........... I have a good reason that I would never buy any ready-made PC. :coolwink:

I agree but....... The ready built P.C. had the exact components except the s.s.d. and normally I build my own systems, except this saved me a few pounds and I get three (3) years warranty rather than one  (1).

So I thought let someone else do the work.

Maybe not in the future!

All that bla bla, it's a PITA.

You have normal values. Your hardware is fine.

Pre-made setups are often okayish, more often too pricey compared to custom builds, it's not a secret.

With like 100 bucks spend more more, you could hive it to something more beefy.

Almost every month new hardware comes out, i'm 100% sure some people with custom setups are going to bite their a$$ for not waiting a month longer.

Repeat every month, there is no perfect setup and i understand there are people not going to waste their time with that. :P

The melts sent me a replacement.

Wow I was shocked, video card did not work, DvD drive did not work, the connector for the side fans was tied with ties

on opposite side of unit, so unless ties were cut off one could not connect and run fans, the fan connector had a metal pin sticking out and further more they returned and old power cable with a bent up pin so could not be plugged in, it was filthy.

So I am doing my own, parts will be here in next few days.

A question, s.s.d. does not work in a caddy, never worked in a caddy when my previous system ran, worked fine in a system running windows, shows up in bios and also on boot showed RollBackRX signature but did not boot after that, I think or should say hope it works, should it be still o.k.

I will uninstall RollBacRX by pressing home then pop in windows install disk see from there, what do you greatest minds think?
