The page also incudes a comment about people originally included in the design but excluded from the final artwork.
Many people have speculated about the cover's intended meaning but the explanation is rather simple. According to Blake, creator of the cover, each of the four Beatles was told to compile a list of people they admired, and their choices would all be featured on the album's cover; Ringo declined right off the bat.

One of the interesting figures is a doll of Shirley Temple wearing a sweater reading "Welcome The Rolling Stones Good Guys" in the front row, on the right side; it was included to pay tribute to The Rolling Stones.
The Stones returned the favor on their album "Their Satanic Majesties Request" with a 3D picture. When viewed at the correct angle from up close, the faces of The Beatles could be seen.
