luisam
Sandie Shaw is considered a much bigger star in the U.K. than the U.S., She is probably remembered as much for this, her "trademark", as for any of her songs: for singing barefoot. The story goes that she was due on stage and with no time to find her shoes she just went out there anyway. People took notice and that was that. Sandie had three charted Billboard hits, but never cracked the U.S. Top 40; meanwhile, she scored eight Top Ten U.K. records. In 1967 she was first U.K. winner of the Eurovision Song Contest with her smash hit "Puppet On A String."
