Last month Wikileaks tweeted a bunch of pics with the words - what, where, when and why regarding something called Vault 7.

One could only speculate what was going on, it all seemed a bit bizarre.

Anyway, a few hours ago they tweeted this.

A torrent file labelled 'WikiLeaks-Year-Zero-2017-v1.7z' - They plan to release the passphrase to unlock the file today at 9am ET.

Today, Tuesday 7 March 2017, WikiLeaks begins its new series of leaks on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. Code-named "Vault 7" by WikiLeaks, it is the largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency.

 

The first full part of the series, "Year Zero", comprises 8,761 documents and files from an isolated, high-security network situated inside the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Virgina. It follows an introductory disclosure last month of CIA targeting French political parties and candidates in the lead up to the 2012 presidential election.

 

Recently, the CIA lost control of the majority of its hacking arsenal including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized "zero day" exploits, malware remote control systems and associated documentation. This extraordinary collection, which amounts to more than several hundred million lines of code, gives its possessor the entire hacking capacity of the CIA. The archive appears to have been circulated among former U.S. government hackers and contractors in an unauthorized manner, one of whom has provided WikiLeaks with portions of the archive.

 

"Year Zero" introduces the scope and direction of the CIA's global covert hacking program, its malware arsenal and dozens of "zero day" weaponized exploits against a wide range of U.S. and European company products, include Apple's iPhone, Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows and even Samsung TVs, which are turned into covert microphones.

 

Since 2001 the CIA has gained political and budgetary preeminence over the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA). The CIA found itself building not just its now infamous drone fleet, but a very different type of covert, globe-spanning force — its own substantial fleet of hackers. The agency's hacking division freed it from having to disclose its often controversial operations to the NSA (its primary bureaucratic rival) in order to draw on the NSA's hacking capacities.

WikiLeaks exposes the CIA

 

WikiLeaks has finally made light on the Vault 7 revelations it promised weeks ago - the CIA's entire hacking capacity. 

 

The files WikiLeaks is releasing is the most comprehensive collection of US spying files ever made public, claims Julian Assange. In total, there are 8,761 documents accounting for the entire hacking capacity of the CIA. This is just the first of a series of "Vault 7" leaks, WikiLeaks promises.

 

So what's in the files? WikiLeaks claims that CIA has software that could allow them to take control of the most popular electronics used today - iPhones, Android devices, PCs, smart TVs.

 

"'Year Zero' introduces the scope and direction of the CIA's global covert hacking program, its malware arsenal and dozens of 'zero day' weaponized exploits against a wide range of U.S. and European company products, include Apple's iPhone, Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows and even Samsung TVs, which are turned into covert microphones," the organization writes in the release.

 

A loose cannon

WikiLeaks claims that the CIA recently lost control of the majority of its hacking arsenal including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized zero day exploits, malware remote control systems and associated documentation. It seems that the entire collection, amounting to several hundred million lines of code, gives its possessor the entire hacking capacity of the CIA. The arhive has been circulating between US government hackers and contractors, one of whom took a step further and handed over the trove to WikiLeaks.

 

The source, it seems, wants to initiate a public debate about the security, creation, use, proliferation and democratic control of cyberweapons.

 

Whether the best way to do this was by sharing the files with WikiLeaks it remains to be seen. While it's really no surprise that the CIA has such extensive powers, it's rather shocking to see it all on paper.

We'll be adding more stories as we go through the contents of Vault 7.

But don't take that quote out of context.  He stated that after the failed invasion of the Bay of Pigs and after realizing that he should not have kept Allen Dulles as the Director of the CIA when he became President. He believed Dulles was senile.  Later during the Cuban Missile Crisis he was happy to have the intelligence information provided by the CIA.

Wiki Leaks is only the man in the middle anyways,  most likely this info is coming fro moles inside the CIA  like Snowden was a mole who got caught and had too run ..Now they will be a witch hunt to weed out the moles, the US government is already  paranoid.. so if i was a  mole in the CIA  id be scared shitless  they could get the death plenty for it..

This is stuff still boiling over from the Obama  administration , most likely Trump will give them the money they need to hire permanent workers  .It's very easy to solve this problem just get rid of the contractors and hire real CIA  agents to do the jobs.

 

I dont like Julian Assange no way not because of who he works for but because hes a known predator of women is the reason I dont like him.

He's wanted in the USA for leaking info  but in Sweden hes wanted on  a rape charge and  there fighting over who can  have him 1st  and that's why he is hiding in that Ecuadorian embassy.

Founder Eugene Kaspersky dismissed the comment, saying in a Twitter message that the flaw identified in the CIA leak was fixed "years ago."

This post is not about making me  change my views about someone I'm allowed to fell as i want and I dont like him and videos want change my opinion of him. I cant see videos my fiend blocked in policeman so the board dont run slow.  I'm saying no one seems to care what the CIA does . I dont fool around with Wikileaks or on there forum ..I'm getting paranoid about coming on here now  because most likely there watching me because I believe  people should have privacy.

I go to other sites and read about  it I dont really believe all of  what they say. because other researchers debunk them after they have time enough too review there findings.why would any one have too go there when western journalists  post everything they post without even investigating it?  Only good journalists investigate before posting. Most dont know what there posting about they just want too get a story out. I do believe part of it unless it's proved not to be true.. 1st thing comes to my mind what did you do that made the CIA target you in such a fashion ? Because they single there  people out unlike the NSA. Now the FBI  is probing  Wikileaks not the best place too around right now . I never sign in no were  that i read the FBI or NSA have been dragneting by the way.
