Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo in hospital after being injured in car crash

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo has been taken to hospital after being injured in a car crash. The accident happened in the PM’s hometown of Oswiecim on Friday afternoon.

Szydlo was traveling in a convoy of several cars on the town's main road when another car coming from a side street drove into the convoy, Polish media reported.A government spokesman said Ms Szydlo was being checked out in a hospital but that she did not appear to be badly hurt. She is said to have suffered bruises.Polish media reported that others involved in the accident had suffered minor injuries.
