nsan3
Have a really peculiar situation at home. One website (eg: www.copper.com) is being blocked by my ISP. So I switched on my UltraSurf VPN and tried opening the website on my chrome browser. A blank page is displayed, pure blank page. When I fired up command prompt and pinged the website, it was successful. Now I want to know why it is being shown as blank when my UltraSurf VPN is triggered on even when the ping comes back as a success???? Until many months back it used to work flawlessly on UltraSurf VPN without any issues. Appreciate your expert opinions on the same. Thank you. Thrandisher
Did you try a alt-f5 for a forced refresh? make sure you hit f5 and not f4. Sometimes i have web sites that come up blank once in awhie and i gotta do a force refresh. Also checked your virus protector (if your running one) to make sure its not blocking it? vissha
@nsan3 This may be due to VPN didn't connect you properly or the website is blocked by the area of the VPN IP connected. It isn't new. It'll happen in almost all VPN's at some time. Even a blocked page in VPN sometimes pinged to a blank page. Check security addons and plugins/AV configurations. Check the site is functional. Yes, it is here. Also, check if the site is under maintenance. Check DNS and try changing DNS(for VPN) if possible. Try connecting to another IP of the same country or choose another country which the site works well. If it didn't help, close/stop/disable the VPN completely(incl. Services and VPN adapters) and then enable/start/reconnect. Or remove/uninstall the VPN adapter and let the VPN fix it automatically. Try with another Free/Paid VPN(if you've installed/wish to do so) Or Try reinstalling the VPN after complete removal of existing installation. @nsan3 Pls try the steps above and revert if any issues arise/fixed. ALT + F5 has no default function in Windows. ALT + F4 forces a close on the chosen program.
Thrandisher
Ugg, ya, it was really late. i meant CTR and not alt. Had just got done playing KSP and using alt f5 for save game stuff and so the alt key was stuck in my brain, lol. I actually didnt know ctr-shift-r for a reload cache. Good to know. nsan3
Thanks a lot guys. Actually my ISP just unblocked the site from its blacklist. When I called them up they said they could not divulge further details on the issue. Anyways all is well now.

Only country/region specific site-blocking applicable.
