rmsalazar01
I'm recently converted to the Win 10 church (ROFL). My previous experience with Win 7 was pretty simple: Install windows, insert name for the account, start my PC and I can do everything. Now with Win 10 some actions, even being the Admin, simply ask for another confirmation. I was able to find some directions regarding enabling another Admin account with all the privileges. But it's another account. Can I merge both or is there any way to set my account with the same privilages? What is the best method after installing windows? Enable the admin account and change it's name or what?

What it means "...simply asks for another confirmation". Is there some confirmation dialog box or you should log in again or in UAC pop-up window asks to confirm or something else? When and how asks. Some examples please. Another thing is administrator account and administrator privileges and permissions use. "Administrator" account is a built-in concealed account and there are always all privileges and permissions available. If You speak about your own account permissions and privileges, you may have or not to have all allowed. It depends, how have selected during installation. The real administrator can to do it or anyone who use built-in administrator account.

I can move files to it, delete or rename everything inside BUT when I do such actions there's always a popup asking form admin's permission. I just click allow and it's ok. This is boring, I always liked Win 7 because you can do whatever you want without stupid confirmations (with UAC disabled, of course). I didnt see any options to set permissions during install. My user is the only one and, as it used to happen with win 7, was supposed to be the admin and have all privileges.
Kalju
Absolutely correct, it is as it should be, and have been so for a very long time, at least from Windows 8. Do the same is also for Windows 7, do not remember, but I can check it later. I have Windows 7 in another room. But I can not understand why you need to make a folder to location %ProgramFiles% or%ProgramFiles(x86)% or%Windir% etc. These places are not for users, where store files and folders. Spoiler Moreover, if the knowledge base is practically non-existent. If you have a computer, you need also to be able to use and maintain.
Pete 12
I have these admin-problems only in the ProgramFiles (x64) , not in ProgramFiles (x86) ............. ! Win10 is really much difficult compared with Win7 with these " admin.-pain " .
Administrator DKT27 Posted January 9, 2017 Administrator Share Posted January 9, 2017 Type this in explorer: Quote Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts In it, click Change User Account Control settings. Move the slider to Never notify. See if that works for you there.

Administrator DKT27 Posted January 10, 2017 Administrator Share Posted January 10, 2017 Do this. Download this. Open it > click on Repairs tab > Open Repairs > select / check only and only Reset File Permissions and unselect / uncheck everything else > Start Repairs. When done. Again do what is mentioned in this post. Beware though this is a really powerful software, make sure you do everything very cautiously in it and backup before doing anything in it.
