Exclude Drivers from Updates in Windows 10 Creators Update

In Windows 10 Creators Update, you can exclude drivers from Windows Updates.

It is a welcome feature for many users who are not happy with new versions of drivers delivered through Windows Update in Windows 10. Let's see what has changed.


Windows 10 Creators Update allows you to include or exclude drivers from updates. A special option was added to Advanced Options of the Windows Update page of the Settings app. There, you can exclude driver updates from Windows Update. Here is how to enable this feature.

To exclude drivers from updates, do the following.

 

Open Settings.

Go to the following page:

On the right, scroll down to the link Advanced settings:

Click it.

The following page will be opened:

There, you will find a new option Include drivers when I update Windows. Turn it off to exclude drivers from updates.

Tip: You can save your time and go to the Advanced Options page of the Windows Update section directly. Press Win + R shortcut keys together on the keyboard and type the following command:

ms-settings:windowsupdate-options
