I saw a 'Giveaway' like this several years ago and they gave your email to everybody that had something to offer. There was also some underlying software installed that appeared to transmit data back to the company. Like I said, this was several years ago, but, I learned that nothing free is really free, you are offering up something if nothing more than a working email address.
