RoboForm 8.2.5

RoboForm is a Password Manager and Web Form Filler that completely automates password entering and form filling. It allows you to define your personal profile or "usual" responses to a web form. This information is then saved, and when you need to fill a form, just click "Fill Forms" button, and form is filled out. Works as an add-on to Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Chrome, Firefox or Netscape web browsers.

Thanks to Siddharta for the update.

Four things you need to know:

  1.  Backup all your login data before install - just in case you don't like new version and wanna come back to 7;
  2.  Uninstall v7 before install new one... It's to prevent hanging browsers after system reboot...
  3.  You need to add an email to install and use it... Version 7 patch does not work with 8...
  4.  Starting with version 8, RoboForm allows unlimited Logins on a single device (be it desktop or mobile) without having to pay. To enjoy our secure cloud backup and password syncing across all your devices, upgrade to RoboForm Everywhere.

^ probably not as a default because dropbox and google drive you to store all their subfolders within their own application folder..

Unless you do a manual backup of roboform to a subfolder within the DB or GD data subdirectory

Once you have added the email and password chosen during the installation of the current version, everything will be stored in your personal cloud account, whose login can be done here.

Below is the possible interface image of your account.

waiting for medicine before upgrading to 8.

@virge @Phantomboxe

Do you really need...

  1. Integration with Group Policy / Active Directory
  2. Optional Master Password Recovery
  3. Mass Deployable via SBS, Group Policy, etc
  4. Policies (Customize User Experience)
  5. Full Control Over All User Data
  6. Ability to Create/Define Groups
  7. Group Function- Logins Shared Between Users
  8. Issue New Credentials to Any User or Group
  9. Group Level Administration
  10. Advanced Reporting

                                  ... all the ten above?!

Because these are the only things default version - free and with unlimited logins -  will not offer you...

I read this as version 8 sends all user login data to a RF cloud server,

therefore, no more local data folder usage.

Is this correct? Can I choose to only use local data drive storage?

@BEngEE... complete answer below...

Both: local - just for backup -  and cloud - main use...

About avoid cloud:

  1.  You can... but you will lose synchronization between devices... if you add new logins to your phone, for example, they will not be available for use on your desktop...
  2.  Regardless of the loss quoted above, you'll need to enter a email and master password for installation and use of the application ... Basically, you've the Everywhere version for free!!!

About avoid cloud:

Have never used anything stored in the cloud, prefer local. In fact, I have never used a password manager. Going to look into trying it out, but prefer local. So for multiple devices you are saying you would need multiple accounts if you want to store local only? I believe KeePass is local? Any others out there that store local only?

One account ( registered email and master password during v8 installation )... Just use 'em on each device you login...
