I dunno something is wrong as !@#$.. Not just the WMP thing.. but if your getting a bunch of script errors and suddenly you can't view pages...

I had a system do this once..right before I tried to re-install .. and then the thing just died.. my hard drive went corrupt with 2 bad sectors that would not repair...

@karachidude:

There's no need to run HDD Regenerator.

The built-in SMART option in BIOS is enough to detect anomalies in your HD.

Everytime I start my PC. The screen after the CMOS tell me S.M.A.R.T. Disabled. What does it mean and I haven't found a single way to enable it.

SMART in BIOS should be disabled for optimal performance, only enable it for HD status monitoring.

I don't see anthin related to S.M.A.R.T in my BIOS. As I said I don't really know it should be enabled or not. Or even how to make it enabled.

I know my BIOS properly. Infact I open my BIOS everyday just to see the temp. ;) ANW I cannot see anything near to SMART in my BIOS. Maybe my MOBO not supportin it?

Hi to all,  :hi:

After reading all the above posts, It seems to me (if you have no virus or things like that infecting your PC) that your

erratic problems could came from Hardware problems (As you have lot of Power problems):

1- The voltage (+12, +5, -...) delivered by your power supply. (if your 110v or 220v is fluctuating)

2- One of the RAM boards has some bits dead.

3- some sectors in the HD are corrupted (involving the system file management MFT, and its mirror)

All  of these possible problems could lead to erratic access to files ( no real deletion, no execution when called..)

these possible problems are easy to check (voltmeter, Bios RAM checking, FDISK or other HD checker)

ciao
