I don't know about availability but like you can get small ones for like well, relatively cheap the last time I looked..

Its been awhile since I looked though...

What do you do with your food when that happens?

I would be engineering a Hydrogen powered generator..no joke...

In fact I want one to run my house... if I had a house..just disconnect from the pole all together..

It (load shedding) sometimes happens here but once in a 2-3 months in my area. ;)

If you really really want to delete all of the WMP folder you are talkin about, try a program called Unlocker. It can delete any file/folder by unlocking it.

hahaha.....if the power is out for three four hours the food stays fine in the fridge and freezer, but then after that theres a problem.

twice during the past two month we dint had light for 36 to 48 hours, and at some places even even for 4 day...the generator had to be stopped evry 6 hours to cool, and that also for the people who can affor d a generator and petrol....but we get used to it...but that doesnt realy happen allot.....this is the third world bro

APCC UPS not available fpr Pakistan.no distributors here...lol

Erased evrything from the WMP program folder, couldnt find anything to delete from the registry with WMP on it.

now using WinASO and downloading the latest WMP11

tried everything..used eraser,cleaned it all up...ran winaso...rebooted twice...installed the fresh WMP11...still nothing...the setup starts goes till express setting..shows an error occured for half a second...then vanishes...no luck

Anyways the rest of the system is fine and kicking,i have real player, vlc, winamp, powerDvd ,they wll manage...probably some corrupt OS file is causing the prob here..we tried

if there was a thank u button,i wouldnt press it like Rock Lee,instead i would punch it :tooth: .

tnx a bunch heath

See thats is what happens with an Adobe Product..well just about everyone.. when you have a corrupt install .. and the MSI's are left in the system..Thats why I was saying you need to search for and remove any of the installation/setup files with the Windows Installer Clean Up...but see if you can't find your error on the link I posted above.. and see if you can't find your particular issue wit the recommended fix.

..and yeah check what DKT27 said above to..

Well removing the installer should be the only thing you need to do next. Usually ti will be fine but you'll know when you try to install after.. Oh and at the time of this post its 21:19:26..

my sis was in possesion of my pc the whole time...stupid facebook and Meet Joe Black...haha.

sory for posting late because of the reason above :)

Windows Install Clean Up wont run showing this error "cant find script engine"VBScript" for script"C:\Docume~1\............."

then i went to the microsofts website and found this

Q. How do I uninstall the Player?

A.

Windows Media Player is a feature of the Windows operating system and cannot be removed entirely. However, depending upon which version of the Player and Windows that you are using, you might be able to roll back to the version of the Player that was previously on your computer. The procedure varies depending upon which version of the Player you are running.

Windows Media Player 11

1.

In Category View of Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs.

2.

Click Remove a program, and then, at the top of the list, select the Show updates check box.

3.

In the Windows Updates section, click Windows Media Player 11, and then click Change/Remove.

4.

If prompted, restart your computer, and then log on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.

5.

In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs.

6.

In the Windows Updates section, click Windows Media Format 11 Runtime, and then click Change/Remove.

7.

If prompted, restart your computer, and then log on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.

8.

In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Remove a program.

9.

Click Microsoft User-Mode Driver Frameworks Feature Pack 1.0, and then click Change/Remove.

this is exactly what u told me to do except the 9th clause,so i went into the control panel and deleted the bullshit driver framework.restarted the pc.

tried to install again still the same thing...

so it would b sufficient to induce here that my OS itself is screwing with the installations(Windows Install Clean Up and WMP),i wll have to reinstall for the problem to go away...

tnx a 2*bunch heath :)

Well I think your missing an update for Windows Installer...but you may only get it if you go in to IE, go to Microsoft( Windows ) Update, which is in either Tools, or Safety depending on your version. Originally it comes with Windows Update link, but once you get there you can upgrade to Windows Update.. and that will cover any and all things Microsoft.. If you use that, and click Custom you should get Updates for everything...I think it can be fixed without re-installing your OS...but you know sometimes its not a bad idea either..

I dunno.. really odd.. That would be the absolute last thing... OR you could try installing this .. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...38-de776fd4138c

Right now I would be out of answers....There is always usaully a resolution to the issue though..

@karachidude:

You mentioned that you have not re-installed for a long time.

Maybe you're right that it's time for a re-install, since the best time would be every 6 - 8 months :)
