Administrator DKT27 Posted August 15, 2009 Administrator Share Posted August 15, 2009 It (load shedding) sometimes happens here but once in a 2-3 months in my area. ;)If you really really want to delete all of the WMP folder you are talkin about, try a program called Unlocker. It can delete any file/folder by unlocking it.

HX1
See thats is what happens with an Adobe Product..well just about everyone.. when you have a corrupt install .. and the MSI's are left in the system..Thats why I was saying you need to search for and remove any of the installation/setup files with the Windows Installer Clean Up...but see if you can't find your error on the link I posted above.. and see if you can't find your particular issue wit the recommended fix...and yeah check what DKT27 said above to.. karachidude
my sis was in possesion of my pc the whole time...stupid facebook and Meet Joe Black...haha.sory for posting late because of the reason above :) Windows Install Clean Up wont run showing this error "cant find script engine"VBScript" for script"C:\Docume~1\............."then i went to the microsofts website and found thisQ. How do I uninstall the Player?A. Windows Media Player is a feature of the Windows operating system and cannot be removed entirely. However, depending upon which version of the Player and Windows that you are using, you might be able to roll back to the version of the Player that was previously on your computer. The procedure varies depending upon which version of the Player you are running. Windows Media Player 111.In Category View of Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs.2.Click Remove a program, and then, at the top of the list, select the Show updates check box.3.In the Windows Updates section, click Windows Media Player 11, and then click Change/Remove.4.If prompted, restart your computer, and then log on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.5.In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs.6.In the Windows Updates section, click Windows Media Format 11 Runtime, and then click Change/Remove.7.If prompted, restart your computer, and then log on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.8.In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Remove a program.9.Click Microsoft User-Mode Driver Frameworks Feature Pack 1.0, and then click Change/Remove.this is exactly what u told me to do except the 9th clause,so i went into the control panel and deleted the bullshit driver framework.restarted the pc.tried to install again still the same thing...so it would b sufficient to induce here that my OS itself is screwing with the installations(Windows Install Clean Up and WMP),i wll have to reinstall for the problem to go away...tnx a 2*bunch heath :)
HX1
Well I think your missing an update for Windows Installer...but you may only get it if you go in to IE, go to Microsoft( Windows ) Update, which is in either Tools, or Safety depending on your version. Originally it comes with Windows Update link, but once you get there you can upgrade to Windows Update.. and that will cover any and all things Microsoft.. If you use that, and click Custom you should get Updates for everything...I think it can be fixed without re-installing your OS...but you know sometimes its not a bad idea either..I dunno.. really odd.. That would be the absolute last thing... OR you could try installing this .. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...38-de776fd4138cRight now I would be out of answers....There is always usaully a resolution to the issue though..
