jalaffa
I'm unable to acces the page I should be after logging inYou got me curious now. I have problems with login into Windows Live page also on one of my computers. Two setups with recent installed Windows 7. The one with problems has Eset NOD32 AV installed. Could be the reason. Needs further investigation this.
HX1
Okay first thing you should do is run Mozilla FF without add-ons or in Safe-Mode for the browser. This will disable anything that may be interfering with loading of the page.Next.. I don't use facebook.. but I know Hotmail and Windows Live, the screen that loads after should light your URL bar green.. meaning Encryption/Proper Identification.. so on.. If you have disabled anyof these things in your browser settings then you may not be able to load the page.. It sounds backwards but we are talking about code inside a Browser too.. weird bugs can happen sometimes. Just make sure your are using the Default settings in FF for SSL, and TLS.. I use FIPS Encryption and true TLS, by government standard..ANYWAY..Next thing.. after it goes black .. if thats whats happening .. slam F5 a few times and see if it doesn't load. I have the same issue sometimes but I think it because Microsoft is working on their networks and sites constantly.. certain areas can effect others and it will happen from time to time.. I mean I still have to use Tab to switch accounts, and use some of the drop downs.. Maybe this is a difference in code compatibility with the browsers and site.. maybe it is a deprecated function coming from the slightly different methods of writing code that Microsoft uses..Make sure your not blocking the site either..with anything..Last but not least.. use this link to get to your mail/accounts.. http://home.live.com/.. I just logged in and this is the link I rely on daily..
sanjoa
I'm using XP 32 bits. Problem solved. I've restarted the modem.
jalaffa
Me doing a restart - can login now. Still peculiar though. Also - a couple of times after I did the shift to Windows 7 a week ago I've experienced that pages has failed to open (a restart of computer has solved it though). Bizarre™
A member here had the same problem before.Just clear the cache of the browser ;)
HX1
That was why I hit F5 to refresh the page after the third F5 in FF it reloads it again without cached files from the browser.I seem to have the least of the problems mentioned in the thread. I use Live with no problems at all, except the Drop Downs which are script based. Most other parts of everything else works. the entire Live structure SkyDrive, Office Online .. all of it..For most of my mail checking though I use the YAMN plugin for MirandaIM..and I use another email account to harvest all of my accounts and put them in one place but separate like accounts.... I can choose to use them but I usually don't except to check for stuff I may need to clean up. I use Outlook 2007.. but only my online main server will allow two way use of them all.. and its like portable Outlook program online..EDIT: Cache Toggle 0.1 is a fairly easy extension that will allow you to turn the cache on/off which the click of a slider.. Bizarre™
F5 only refreshes the page.Ctrl + F5 refreshes the page, and clears the cache.
HX1
Right..F5 refresh the page but if you go look in about:config you will find a setting concerning the third consecutive refresh f the page which allows you to keep the rest of your cache files.. :) Cache toggle lets you kep them and just turn it off .. especially helpful when checking your site.. working on something..
