You definitely DON'T NEED any patches.  I have no idea why folks here choose to bother to deal with new patches every time IDM has been updated.

 

Trial reset by babelpatcher (IDM.v6.X.X-TrialForever)  has worked great for years.  It's so much more convenient to use. 

I put the last version of TR executable in my IDM folder in April (I keep it there). Since then I've very little to do.

I let IDM update automatically (or you can click "check for updates" in "about" window). 

My only duty is to run TR executable shortly after that  (make sure IDM is closed from your taskbar first).

Is there anything simpler than that ?

 

BTW

I used to use firewall method before, but over months TR proved to be the most convenient and trouble-free way to get IDM working.

Try it out and see for yourself.   :rolleyes:

I used the Online Installer from ronaldinho4242 for the last version and everything works fin but after a look into the host file I am not sure that ronaldinho4242 knows what he is doing | IP's don't have any effect in Host file

maybe it is a better way to block the IP's in firewall only for IDM or follow the hint of @mona and use the trail reset

IPs stop working in host files back in 2014   I  switched to firewall blocking tell i went to using TR.  it was always troublesome because when they add new ips  and they blacklist  you . So i been doing Trail Reset for over a year with no problems now   :)

I get the same speeds from a trial version as i do registered or i would not use it that stuff about download accelerator is fiction ..I was the one who  told this site that host block wasn't working and you need to block ips  in 2014 many aruged with me then soon  after block ip topics appeared on site.

You got to be joking right to think id use something that half works?  I use to test software for reverse engineers i've made stuff   work , many , many,  times just by testing that no one knew about unless i made it public . I came from a site were we had a team of reverse engineers even some of the best ones that ever was . if you posted something not tested there unless it was made for that version  without testing you would have you're post deleted  and warned.  We had rules every thing that was for a old version had to be tested with you're clock set ahead 30 days after you cracked it .

 

I'm a very picky person ,only thing different is the delete completed button don't work witch i can live with because right clicking and  selecting all the files and deleting  works fine .. i been using IDM  since 2006  even before i joined this forum i know its features well.

 

You think Mona and I have another friend that use it too i told about it would use it , if it half worked ?  I don't care that you use a byte patch or firewall block,  but as long as I don't have too I want .. i don't like chasing a fix worrying about blacklist  and ips maybe you do like being blacklisted.but that's your prerogative. . :P

Very funny i did not say ip block didn't work, it works  as long as you have all the ips but don't come crying when you get blacklisted because they changed ips . There's  175 pages in one topic about people getting IDM to work by blocking ips and about it stop working because they added a ip and got blacklisted . Ir works fine tell one day they change ips and you get a VP key stuck in the reg same with patches when it misses a check ..

 

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting to get different results . And most likely unless someone else knew about Firewall blocking to begin with if it was  not for me you would of never known about it. i was blocking ips trough ip sect before there ever was a block ip topic here and i had blocked ips in my firewall back around 2007 or 2008 before for IDM but host block was the thing then so i used it tell 2014 .  From  a lot of years of testing all patches fail  after so long and Hostblock  get weakened by the dev to the point it stop working at all, And now hes after people who uses FW block he added a vp protection were its not that easy if he changes the ip on you . The worse thing a trail version can do is expire  it never even blacklist you.

It's impossible to create a proper paf, and virtual IDM portable. The first reason is IDM creates a mess in the 'Registry'. And the second is 'Browser Integration' is usually permanently disabled.
