stylemessiah
Not a fan of anything that stops people actually reading a screen and unchecking things, because the only reason people use this is because theyre lazy, and they will learn to trust this program to be infallible...and then when this program lets them down, they'll probably look for another way to avoid learning to read a fucking screen..... Not in any way having at shot at the OP, just the people who use the program. I see this recommended to end users all the time....its a fundamentally bad idea to use one program to try and remedy the deficiencies of another. Pete 12
You only need your own common sense and keep your eyes wide open when installing new software. So you will not be " pleased " with unwanted " presents "..............

bubbada
what happens when your mind lapses? All it takes is one click people! and many headaches later trying to stop software installing everything u don't want. what happens when your mind laps when you install software without unchecky? Even saying this un checky uses definitions to keep itself updated and newer PUPS is not unchecked right away it takes time to be added it could take days, weeks and if the creator is even aware of software that use's PUPS to be able to un check them and many cant be unchecked or unchecked by unchecky because the software makers are always finding new inventive ways to incorporate PUPS in their programs. i guess what im saying unchecky can't hurt. straycat19
Unchecky is not fool proof. It does miss some software installations some of the time. If you are really concerned about not getting all the unwanted software, then do it manually and take your time to read and make wise selections. x3r0
I wonder how this thing works... Does it have somekind of "definitions" to every single installer of apps (and it's version also, because each version might introduced new UI layout... or perhaps different installer), or it can hijack a UI then just applies uncheck on every common TextBox-es that might contain a "blacklisted" word such "offer", etc...
