46&2
Indeed, except these shady connects to the internet every time the prog is started and the installer trying the same thing. Blocking via firewall is recommended or should at least be considered... it try to go online everytime i start it, repeat everytime. exactly why I dont use it any longer. its connecting (try to) to internet was quite obvious, what else it may or may not be doing I :dunno: MPC-HC works for me. Happiness
113.29.189.149, 113.29.190.50, 203.133.172.30, 110.45.229.148, 110.45.215.113, 175.126.170.57 (and many more, destination port 80 and 443) IPs are contacted every time Pot Player is fired up. Automatic updates are deactivated and no content is chosen at this moment so this IS undesired and unnecessary behavior and should be checked and eventually be stopped by everyone. However, apart from that, it´s just one of the best video player solutions i´ve ever come across: lightweight, clean and gazillions of configuration possibilities...just as it should be and therefore i´ll stick with it... with the aforementioned exception/precaution. jamesbond
i had to completely block it with the firewall as well. in that regard potplayer is a pain in the ass. apart from that, simply great.
PistalPete
Quote IPs are contacted every time Pot Player is fired up That's why I grabbed the lifetime license giveaway for DVDFab Media Player. Elegant player, not bloated, and works great in conjunction with DVDFab.
