the same procedure for installed version (no need to rename the .exe!)

Rename the file back so you can use the shortcut from desktop or start menu since the shortcut refer to TNODUP.exe

When unpacking the rar the .exe is already called TNODUP.exe and works with existing shortcuts on desktop and in Start menu when placed in program files folder

Inserting license should be fixed in this update, Tested in Antivirus v9 & Antivirus v10 & Internet Security v10

Also you can install TNod 1.6.1 Beta and copy TNODUP-Portable.exe from this Beta 4 into installation folder and rename it into TNODUP.exe

Great post friends! But you know EIS will be less monitor then ESSP. This company isa doing a software "check" why the reason of chaned licensees. Be careful N-Friends

Beta 4 still does not work correctly for me.  When inserting license I get a red outlined box where ESET should be and I have to close this manually - and the license still is not inserted.

Tested with ESET Smart Security v10.0.36.0 64-bit from the download link I posted earlier.

as mentioned before TNod 1.6.1b4 doesn't work for ESS 10. ESS 10 needs different licenses

Tnod 1.6.1 b4 works for me too on ESS 9.0.402.0 - Windows 10 Home (x64) .

(said goodbye to ESS 10.0.369.0, because I didn`t like to wait 47 sec for the ESS icon - on task bar near the watch - after having booted or rebooted ).

Had to wait and could not work with windows.

Good work Master Tukero.

Many thanks.

Okay, a few questions, starting with: Which of the following work without the NEED for a legitimate login into an ESET Account:

Parental Control
Anti-Theft
Password Manager
Secure Data

The reason why I'm asking is that if one has no legitimate ESET account to avail of those abovementioned services, is it best to utilize ESET Antivirus/Internet Security as baseline software & avoid the bloat?

*Note that the ESET password Manager seems to be similar to LastPass Manager (for example), as it adds browser add-ons. Hence it is redundant, and significantly slows down low to medium-end systems - if you already use a free account of LastPass Manager.

@ Keyser Söze I assume you're talking about ESS 10 Premium?

Download the userguide from ESET and start reading:

@Skunk1966, based on the ESET pdf you have mentioned, It seems one must have an ESET account to have full usage of the Anti-Theft & Password Manager tools. I haven't tested if you can utilize these tools using the various licenses inserted via TNod as it would seem to require the legitimate email associated with said license.

Parental Control seems to be independent of these restrictions. Understandable, since it would only need to utilize the Firewall, Scheduler & Web Access Protection modules (among other things) to create profiles for custom web surfing.

Secure Data can only be found in the ESSP version, but I am not sure if it is license-locked as well. ESET has a disclaimer in the document, stating that if you lose the password to your locked data, they have no way of assisting you in retrieving that, making me think that they do not do any form of cloud saving & protection for password-encrypted data & its associated keys on both fixed & removable media.eset_essp_10_userguide_enu_vista_win10.jpg Curious to know how versatile its encryption capabilities are, however.

I was getting system freeze when i installed it but i also updated VMware Workstation v12.5.1 and after i moved to older version of VMware Workstation problem solved and ESET working fine

It's not ESET problem, so far everything working fine with me, also alot complain about VMware Workstation v12.5.1 and system freeze

Forgot to say if you will upgrade it's better to do a clean install also use last TNod Beta 9, it's working fine with v10 now
