clean install is the best and always the recommended way to go incase of errors on top of installing on old version. I removed my ESS v9, reboot computer and install fresh EIS v10 to not have any issues, just incase. Everyone computer is different.

If interested on this new Eset 10, then install the one you prefer ( Nod32 or ESS) - ( always a clean install ), find on Net a valid key and wait for Tnod. Keys for v.9 also work on v.10.

Nothing more can be done.

Yes, surely a clean install is better, but you first have to save your licence (method given above), your configuration ans some others stuffs.

When installing over the previous one, all files are removed (except some config files in Registry and AppData) before installing the whole files of the new version ... in reality you save plenty of time.

I was lucky with v9 that someone provided me with a valid license. [Of course, I am not going to reveal their name]. I might have to make do with TNod or something like it this time around.

I have both ESET Internet Security and Emisisoft Anti-Malware installed

After upgrading to EIS (Clean Install) windows seems to freeze randomly. Such a freeze that the only solution is the rest button.

Anyone else experiencing that?

Restart botton in PC since you can't restart from windows while everything is freezing

I was afraid of that. It's equivalent to "pulling the plug". Windows does not get a chance to shut down normally. But, I guess the alternative is no good either...

same here; happened to me yesterday and only option was reset button. After that everything seems to work as it should without freezing system.

Probably some new ESET module/driver issue/compatibility trying to push the system into bluescreen-ville, but the OS decided to stay in limbo, just like Neo and the Trainman.

RIP ESS! I never used those features anyway.

I just installed EIS v10.0.369.0 over ESS v9.0.386.

it's look like eset uninstall ESS v9.x before install v10.x

it works, so far so good,

U know, I am thinking about being really lazy and just using the above and install over my v9 on my x86 desktop and my x64 laptop.

I have ESS 10.0.369.0 installed sense the day it came out and one thing I notice is everytime I boot or reboot my desktop computer, the Eset icon that normally appears on taskbar near the watch, takes 47 seconds to appear and meantime I can`t do a thing.

Does anyone has the same problem ?

So I Installed EIS over ESS v9 and all worked fine,  came to shut down and it took like around 5-10 minutes. Will see if it continues before v9 comes back. . .  Grrr

TNod 1.6.1 Beta 4

Site: http://www.mirrorcreator.com
Sharecode[?]: /files/0MHQROW5/TNod-1.6.1-Beta-Portable.zip_links

Inserting license should be fixed in this update, Tested in Antivirus v9 & Antivirus v10 & Internet Security v10

Also you can install TNod 1.6.1 Beta and copy TNODUP-Portable.exe from this Beta 4 into installation folder and rename it into TNODUP.exe

the same procedure for installed version (no need to rename the .exe!)
