According to a post in the v9.3.1.8 thread, starting with v9.3.1.6 the BRD v9 patch no longer works? I think we need to just state this clearly...

Version 9.3.1.2 is the last version the patch worked, You can use MakeMKV as someone already suggested but there is a little more work involved if burning to a disk, Or try AnyDVD HD for 21 days free until we get a patch.

The patch v0.9 was supposedly released to fix v9.3.1.6

Just trying it out now.... seems to be working. I will let you know if I get a complete rip.

Thx! This is what I thought too before "things" got confused. Did U already try the patch with v9.3.1.9?.

No, I tend to stick to a version until it no longer works. I only upgrade when I have to. This works so will keep it. Just did another Blue-Ray, also no issues.....

DVDFAB < v9316 AsProtect

DVDFAB > v9316 VMProtect 3

The problem(s) only occur on W7x64 - as far as i can confirm - for the reasons i stated in the above linked reply.
It's very possible that BRD isn't aware of the problems, because they are very specific to (W7)x64 and are not related the patch itself.

Something is messing with the stack on the way out causing a fatal RET.

Have you tried to convert a file? For me, the only version that works with no errors is 9.3.0.7

I believe what you meant is <= v9316 AsProtect

                                            > 9316 VMProtect 3

Because the way you put it just leaves v9.3.1.6 completely out.

I just used the BRD v9 patch on v9.3.1.8 to copy "The Hunger Games" Blu-Ray [the first film]. This was done on my Windows 10 x86 desktop. It may be that some errors other folks were reporting were on x64 PCs? If I don't see any reason to not do so, I will try this on v9.3.19 as well.

[See my post above] I did a "Successful" copy - "Main Movie" setting, in the sense that DVDFab did not report any errors, of "The Hunger Games". However, when I checked the results, it was "short" about 20 minutes - the end of the film.

So, I did not a "Full Copy" - no compression and "Voila!" - the ending was there!

What the heck??

Could be that the patch isn't working, The free version of DVDFab Decrypter will rip to the hard drive but you can't use the conversion or compression features without a key or patch.

No I haven't. I have always just ripped the DVD to the hard drive for play back. I don't burn them to disk either.

I almost always rip to an ISO. This allows me to see if I have a "successful" rip before I waste a blank Blu-Ray.

[See my post above] I did a "Full Copy" of the film [to an ISO]. This was successful. Next, I used the ISO to do a "Main Movie" rip and this was successful too. Why my "Main Movie" rip, directly, failed I have no idea?

I think we need a properly patched executable DVDFab.exe - that would certainly work on all systems without any issue.

We sure do, Seems like the patches are falling behind.

[It may be my ignorance here...] But, a patched EXE would have to be developed for both x64 and x86?

I don't think so, DVDFab.exe is a 32bit x86 compliant file.

In the mean time get:

http://174.142.97.100/download/DVDFab9226.exe
http://174.142.97.101/download/DVDFab9226.exe
http://198.50.118.114/download/DVDFab9226.exe
http://198.50.118.138/download/DVDFab9226.exe

And use the patched exe from here:

Site: https://mega.nz
Sharecode[?]: /#!0Q1UzaxA!a4FunGHqY3q4MCFcVLtHq1gKg1ceJJbm2IR9ldUDELg

Until there is a working 9.3.x.x version, try it. It works great with GPU assisted encoding.

To get a workable cracked.exe, we will think of DVDFab crack.exe expert -- ChVL. We miss him long long time here already!!

The 9.2.2.6 version doesn't work with a lot of the newer disks, Yea we sure do miss ChVL, BRD is usually up to date with a fix so maybe they are having a hard time with these new versions.

Keep in mind that BRD patch v9 may work with x86, but not x64, even with this latest v9.3.1.9. I have already tested it with v9.3.1.8
