InsaneAl Posted October 13, 2016 Share Posted October 13, 2016 Wondering which MS installer adds all the 140 series of dll's and other references files (eg.. msvcp140.dll).. I'm not totally sure but it must be one of the Redist series,, just which one is yet to be found... I have recently restored an older C:-Drive image pre the Win10 Anniversary update (which fails for me), and tried to run the same software I tried "after" the update, but this time I got a couple of missing xxx140.dll messages.. Lucky I always keep System32 and SysWOW64 folder zipped backups,, I found the two files and put them into the program folder and it works fine, but I should install them correctly, as they'll always be needed...
