haxzion
I noticed a persistent dllhost running in both pro and enterprise versions of W10 anniversary It is related to "IndexedDB Cache Server" and it's running 3 files of "Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\AppData\Indexed DB" IndexedDB.edb IndexedDB.jfm edb.log Do we know anything about it? I'm trying to disable it without getting any more eventlog errors but i can't Temp Solution: Completely uninstall cortana the proper way, restart 2 times and problem solved and with no errors in evenlogs. Make sure to backup in case you might wanna get cortana back.
straycat19
The IndexDb is used by Microsoft to cache data for its browser and windows apps and can be used by other programs to cache data. The dllhost is part of the +COM process that among other things runs dotNET. There may be multiple dllhost processes running. These are all a part of the internal windows structure and are normal and required.
haxzion
I've read a lot about dcom and dllhost but the thing is that never before i had a dllhost running all the time and personally i don't like it. I have cortana disabled how come it's still pulling data? This also happens in "enterprise ltsb" which doesn't have any apps. Microcrap sucks again but anyways i found a solution that works perfect and added it in the first post.
