visualbuffs
my friend sell a gt 440 gddr5 1gb 128bit video card then i test it using passmark burnintest 2d test was good 3d test show error "exceeding temperature threshold" when entering into nba 2k17 after 10 sec it shutdown i was confuse, fan was good and no dust so i replace the fan using the same fan from gt 430 of my own card and problem persist i look for other heatsink and no one fit on it *inno3d* confusing right now so tell to myself if videocard are overheating it's display will only disappear and then bluescreen or restart will happen but the problem are when playing heavy games only occurs plus shutdown the whole pc immediately so i try replacing the PSU. . thinking PSU does not supplying enough power to the pci-e DONE ! it works well with highest degrees 90 - 100 *C so if somebody here encountering this might help. if u think your GPU was dying try to replace PSU first before buying new card
Holmes
The video card fan is good no dust? Is the cpu fan good to no dust? My video card requires two power pci-e a six pin and a eight pin connector's and my CPU requires one eight pin power connector. If you upgraded your power supply and fixed it then thats good hopefully if someone else encounters this problem and they dont have a solution they can find this. Administrator DKT27 Posted October 1, 2016 Administrator Share Posted October 1, 2016 Moved to Technology Talk. Good idea there. But install something like this - works on most cards and monitor the FPS and such things from the CPU and GPU when gaming and such.
