46&2 Posted September 5, 2016 Share Posted September 5, 2016 Whats up with YouTube? A lot of the shows I go there to watch lately are uploaded strangely. Some are boxed within a portrait, some have the sound slowed down a bit or speed up a bit. Some shows are presented with a brighter spot in the middle. SnakeMasteR Posted September 6, 2016 Share Posted September 6, 2016 YouTube has own tools to change a video, including adding certain effects. There could be a possible reason why they'd go after that, in Germany for example it's problematic to record a video with the logo from the tv channel, since you need permission for that. Better option is to crop it away, so it's less obvious but definitely one reason to pull it. Maybe the channel already had Content ID claims or takedown notices and he wants to keep his channel a bit longer alive when not uploading original material. Why not asking directly?
