Whoopenstein
My wife dropped her Samsung Galaxy S3 into the toilet again and decided to upgrade to an S7. She didn't bring her old phone to the Verizon store. They somehow were able to transfer some of her apps on the new phone. But what was disturbing to me was it automatically connected to the password protected home wifi. WTF???
Beamslider
Maybe they just transferred the wireless settings over to the new phone

46&2
same kind of thing happen to my mother. she isnt tech at all and got new phone. i expected to be helping her get all set up but she was good to go when she got home. said the man at the store knew his stuff. i think man in the store knew not only his stuff, but others too, yes it is disturbing. nIGHT
ADN is right. It is google and not the tech in the store. Your accounts is tied up to one or more email(s), and so is the backup of phone and app settings.
