[U.S.A.] Soaps

Might seem odd what I am about to write.

 

I was working at my P.C. and I had in the background a T.V. show my son was watching, he went off and then some U.S.A. soaps came on this is on bskyb BritishSkyBroadcasting a.k.a Sky.

 

So my question is, why is it all the women in it are pretty fit (attractive) all the men have gym six-packs, they all live in massive houses, drive expensive sports cars, have expensive furnishings, but none of them work.

 

They also have the latest video consoles, T.V's and cell-phones and all eat out.

 

Is this how everyone in the U.S.A. lives and exists?

 

I thinks not.

 

The program/soap I think was call Melissa and Joe,

but it seems all current U.S.A. soaps are the same.

Well, duh, of course we all live like this over on this side of The Pond.

Well not all British people are fat and ugly.

 

I haven't watched Coronation Street for twenty five (25) years and Emmerdale  (was Emmerdale Farm) for approx. fifteen (15) years as they turned it into a free-for-all of dialects from all over the United Kingdom and the world.

 

I want to watch shows in a region and with people with those regional accents.

 

It's like turning Byker Grove into a show full of us cockney's.
