Pete 12
Upgraded from 1511 to 1607 RS1, WITH all the software. Had to update some drivers but no problems ,so far, its booting faster then before,no freezes, all my software works fine. Only lost my ( Win7) games, but after reinstalling ok again. I can live with this OS,if it stays this way..........
dergiu
I use Memory Cleaner 2.20 (customised) anti freezes.http://www.koshyjohn.com/software/memclean/
tiliarou
Memory "cleaner" are useless since Vista, or maybe you can have some small improvement in some case on low ram computer (2Go)... Ram usage strategy is not the same as in NT/2000/XP, so "cleaning" the ram will not improve smoothness feeling.

Have you tried disabling your anti-virus program before upgrading to 1607? or remove and reinstall it later. Just update drivers and reinstall non-working programs or run in compatibility mode with administrator rights.
shorty6100
The moral of the story: if you want fewer problems, do a CLEAN install, not an upgrade.

Pete 12
Made an upgrade on a good working TSH2-OS, with all the software intact, this RS1 is ,imo, much better............
crack1up
I did a fresh install on 1511 and just did the upgrade to 1607 and I have no issues. The freezing is a known issue and you should roll back until it's resolved.
