Then don't upgrade.. you may end up with a bricked router..

No options for DDWRT with that model.. It is simpy not supported

TS Did you try the one  at:

ftp://support.dlink.co.in/firmware/DSL/DSL-2730U_U1_Tata/

looks like this is what you should be looking into

DSL-2730U U1 IPv6.img

NOTES: FLASH upgrades may be risky for the faint of heart

Itt's a different model, different firmware..  Using it might brick  2730U

My experience with TPLINK routers says my router has at least 9 variants for a single model (each with a different internal chopset and memory)

I own the dual antenna model. No need to upgrade, they never provide firmware upgrades for our country.

If you want my personal advice. After years and years of usage of ADSL internet and router, I can say only one thing. If possible, throw that thing away and get an cable internet connection - which is based on LAN, not on TV cable. While cable companies have uptime and service problems, ADSL is based on aged two wire telephone line not even worth mentioning in the modern days - unlike LAN based internet which is based on fiber optics from your house to your ISP, depending on your ISP though. Add to that, ADSL routers are more expensive than LAN routers, despite not having half of the hardware - RAM, powerful CPU in them.

@DKT27

I downloaded this , my DSL-2750U (previous version v2 IN_1.02) got my firmware upgraded to V1 IN_1.09. It works with version V1 as well as V2.

The main purpose of this update to support DWM-157 dongle.Previously DWM-156 was supported.

Really surprised to see them releasing an update. Your image looks completely different from mine though. My came with IN_1.10 preinstalled.

Even for you, I suggest moving to a LAN based cable ISP. I have heard there are some good ones in your city I think.
