WinRAR is a powerful archive manager providing complete support for RAR and ZIP archives and is able to unpack CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, BZ2, JAR, ISO, 7Z, Z archives. Its RAR format may only take second place for its level of compression – but it is consistently the fastest when it comes to both packing and unpacking files. While RAR files are not native to Windows or Mac, many other compression programs are still capable of unpacking it. WinRAR is available on Windows, OSX, and Linux, despite the name.

If you can not bear to wait until it is released in your native language, do the following:

 

1. Prerequisite: files - image below - must exist in the previous WinRAR installation folder
2. Download the english version
3. Copy the four files - image below - and paste them on the desktop
4. Install WinRAR
5. Repeat step two in reverse.
6. Have fun!!!

 

Tip: Previous version must be installed...

       Inside lng's folder, there's this file: addlng.exe and you can add your language - thanks to @kabino

Note:

Those who download from win-rar.com links as mentioned in Frontpage thread here should re-download the new one and install it. The hashes didn't match, may be it should be an RC and not final. The links provided by @user@nsaneforums didn't match with the one download from ralab.com.

 

@tomm You may say that only the logo differs. However, it may not be. The reason is WinRAR doesn't mention RC/rc in downloads, only beta links will be mentioned properly.

 

Hence, it is recommended to always download from rarlab.com links for stable final releases.

 

To All: those who say only logo change has to note that "rarlab.com" is the official winrar page and win-rar.com is just a backend page. Hence, the officially posted should have no changes further and it is the stable version recommended for download.

Also, you have to note that why there is a necessary for logo change when it comes from same source developer for "WinRAR"?

Another thing is why this version is not frontpaged when there are working links in win-rar.com? Staff waited for rarlab.com link to work. Hence trust rarlab more than win-rar downloads.

Two different logos, two different version. Left is win-rar.com version, right is rarlab.com version. Beside that, I don't find any other difference. Two versions' release notes are the same

Rarlab  have a different logo,  so it have a different hash  ..Hash never changes in Final versions in the years i ever used it. it only change in beta versions

Download from rarlabs.com is blocked by Avast indicating an obviously false positive malware alert. You should disable Avast, just for some seconds, while dowloading and installing the setup file. Issue is with Deafult.SFX

what rarlabs  is for is if you lost you're key they dont sale winrar there  a support site if something was to happen to you're key or you find a bug.

WinRAR 5.40 x86 English is listed on both site with the same size (1916KB)

 

But when I download 2 files, it's not the same size Why they create 2 different installers? Is there any difference between 2 files?

Its just a option you dont have to use  if you dont want too you can even download themes from the developers if you like.
