[Solved] How Do I Stop This - ESET Upgrade Available?

No, this does not stop the upgrade pop-up. It is unticked by default. The software is ignoring this setting.

That's right. It did not stop the pop up. I'm using ESS Version 8.0.312.0 on W7 and 8.1. and don't want to change it. It works well.

Boot to safe mode and rename UPGRADE.exe to something like UPGRADE.exe.old

Path to file on 64bit Windows:
C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\x86\

I did this over a week ago and I haven't encountered any issues or that annoying pop-up.

Not sure. I hadn't knew that it had problems with Win8. Because I'm using Win7 64.
