jalaffa
Free Download Manager is a powerful, easy-to-use and absolutely free download accelerator and manager. Moreover, FDM is 100% safe, open-source software distributed under GPL license. FDM is a light-weight, powerful and easy-to-use application. This software product is well-known for its intuitive and user-friendly interface. FDM can function as a site manager, accelerator, site explorer and scheduler. FDM can resume broken downloads. So you needn't start the downloading process from the very beginning after casual interruption. You can resume unfinished download from the moment when it was interrupted. Also this program warns you if resuming isn't supported by the servers and allow you to make a decision. So with FDM you save your time and your money. debebee
NO THANK YOU 1. First its a beta.. Should it be even frontpaged? 2. Its is a worst product compared to the 3.9.7 stable version.. Nobody in his right mind would use this since most of the functionality of the old version is lost
Stig
Yeah, they've turned a once great download manager into a Tonka Toy dumbed right down for dummies.
steven36
Maybe you should go vote on what features you like it too have after all that's what this beta is based on http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17512&sid=5dc9226a67e08bbdd691f7f7cf4bc972&start=30 I think telling FDM what you want will fix it more better than telling us . After all.most of us never liked it to began with I tested it a few years ago and it was inferior to IDM like the rest of the free ones are . . Only free one I like is UGet for when I'm on Linux it dont ingrate right in windows even. JDownloader is ok but it requires Java to run so i dont it in windows ether . Stig
I like your confidence, Steven, but I don't have the patience to wait for the developers to put all the features back. I'll be dead before that happens. Why should they be asking what to put back? They should know that themselves.
steven36
I dont know, if i was a devopler 1st thing i would fix in them freebie Download mangers would be for it to be able to have resume and have multiple connections on all the sites Like IDM does .They never had this. None of them can do this . FDM , Eagle Get or Ant Download Manger. It just depends on what you use it for. if you use it to download small files and mostly direct download sites you can get away with one of these free ones. But if you're a heavy downloader like me nothing can replace IDM it works better for me so i cant be bothered with these freewares .
